Club Committee Structure

Minimum Committee

The minimum Committee (Clause 6.2):

President · Secretary · Treasurer · Minimum 2 other elected members

= 5 people total

A quorum at a Committee meeting is 50% of your Committee, so with 5 members that is 3.

The three required roles

President

Cannot hold any other named Committee role.

Chairs all Committee and General Meetings.

Absorbs the DC function under the minimum structure until the General Regulations are updated.

Secretary

Cannot hold any other named Committee role. Responsible for all correspondence, minutes, and records.

Treasurer

Cannot hold any other named Committee role. Must be one clearly identified person — the role cannot be shared.

Additional members

Minimum 2 others. No maximum — your Club decides.

Elect people into named positions: Head Coach, Grazing Manager, Health & Safety Officer, DC, and so on.

Or keep them as General Committee members.

If you liked your old structure, you can keep it.

The previous structure (President, DC, Secretary, Treasurer, Chief Coach, Committee Members) is still perfectly valid. Elect people into those roles at your AGM as elected Committee positions.

All positions expire at each AGM

Every Committee position is a one-year term (Clause 6.9) and expires at the close of each AGM.

Every position must be re-nominated and re-elected annually — there are no automatic rollovers.
