It allows both teams and individual riders to showcase their skills, teamwork, and dedication in a challenging and rewarding event.
Divisions:
The championship offers four divisions, tailored to ensure fair competition based on age and ability:
Price Division (NZPC 80):
For individual riders only, not part of the team competition. Open to riding members aged 14 years and under as of August 1st preceding the competition.
MT Division (NZPC 95):
For riding members aged 16 years and under as of August 1st preceding the competition.
DC Division (NZPC 105):
For riding members aged 20 years and under as of August 1st preceding the competition.
A1 Division (NZPC 110):
For riding members aged 25 years and under. They are eligible until the end of the season in which they turn 25 years old. If a rider turns 25 on or after 1 August, they may continue to participate in Pony Club activities until 31 July of the following calendar year.
This annual competition is a highlight of the NZPCA calendar.
