​​​​​​​Virtual Jumping– Compete Internationally Without Leaving Home

NZPCA, alongside Pony Club South Africa, is proud to once again host the Pony Club International Alliance Virtual Jumping Show in 2026.

Pony Club riders from New Zealand, South Africa, the United States, Hong Kong, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia will compete in this unique international event.

Virtual Jumping gives NZPCA members the opportunity to represent New Zealand internationally—without leaving their home arena or local Pony Club. Selected riders will film their rounds locally, with the videos submitted for judging by an international panel.

Whether you are new to jumping or an experienced competitor, this is a fun and inclusive opportunity to showcase your riding and connect with Pony Club members from around the world.

Who Can Enter?

Expressions of interest are open to all current financial NZPCA members.

There is no minimum NZPCA Certificate requirement.

Classes

The following classes are available:

• Trot Poles
• 30 cm
• 50 cm
• 70 cm
• 90 cm
• 105 cm

Riders may enter a maximum of two height classes.

Arena Requirements

Rounds must be filmed in an arena measuring at least 80 m x 50 m.

Any arena surface is acceptable. The competition has an equitation focus, with riders assessed on the quality and effectiveness of their riding.

Entry Fee

The entry fee is NZD $50 per class, payable upon selection.

Key Dates

• 1 September 2026: Expressions of interest close
• 4 September 2026: Official entries close, video submissions open and the course plan is sent to selected New Zealand riders
• 30 September 2026: Video submissions close and judging begins
• 22 October 2026: Results announced

How It Works – Step by Step

1. Entries

   • NZPCA collects entries before the deadline.

   • Riders may be asked to supply preferred class(es) and confirmation of current membership.

   • Each country can only enter a limited number of riders per class (up to 5), so NZPCA will confirm final selections.

   • Entry fees ($50 per class) are only payable once you have been selected.

2. Course Plans & Rules

   • After entries close, NZPCA will send selected riders:

     • The official course plan

     • Rules and tack guidelines

     • Upload instructions and deadlines

3. Recording Your Round

   • You may ride the course multiple times and submit only your best video.

   • A bell may be used to signal the start of your round (as per the course plan).

   • Remember: this is an equitation class, not a speed class.

4. Upload & Submission

   • Videos must be uploaded by the NZPCA deadline.

   • Late or inaccessible videos (broken links, private uploads, wrong formats) will be disqualified.

5. Judging Process

   • All videos are judged by an appointed international judge.

   • The judge’s decision is final — no appeals or changes once results are posted.

6. Awards & Results

   • Results will be posted publicly once judging is complete.

   • Placings will be awarded 1st–6th in each division.

   • All participants receive a digital certificate.

   • NZPCA will provide additional prizes for placed riders.
