NZPCA Presidents

The Role of the NZPCA President

The President of the New Zealand Pony Clubs Association is a respected figurehead who represents the voice of our members and community at the national level.

Responsibilities

  • Engagement: Build and maintain strong connections with members, clubs, and areas across the country.

  • Leadership: Chair and preside at General Meetings, ensuring fair and effective discussions.

  • Representation: Act as a national ambassador for NZPCA, promoting our vision, mission, and values.

  • Collaboration: Attend Board meetings to provide insight and perspective from the wider membership (note: the President does not hold voting rights at the Board, except as outlined in the Constitution).

Term of Office

The President is elected by Delegates at the Annual General Meeting and serves a three-year term.

Governance Context

While the President works closely with the Board and Head Office team, the position is distinct from the Board and is focused on connection, representation, and leadership of the NZPCA community.
