The NZPCA levy is not refundable once a membership has been confirmed.
Membership fees and levies are governed under the NZPCA Membership Regulation (15 October 2019), Clause 9.4, which states that:
- A full refund is only made if a membership application is declined by the Branch or Club.
- No refund is made if a member resigns or if their membership is terminated under the Constitution.
This clause applies to all components of the membership, including the NZPCA levy. Once a member has been accepted and their details processed through the national membership database, NZPCA incurs immediate administrative costs — this is why the levy is considered non-refundable.
As we have consistently applied this rule across all refund requests, we are unable to make an exemption in this instance.
