We know that some existing members may be taking a little longer than usual to renew their memberships this year. To help everyone stay on track, we’d like to clarify how memberships work and why it’s essential to keep them current, for the benefit of riders, clubs, and branches alike.
All members must be registered on the National Database and have their National Levy paid through Nominate. This is what officially recognises a person as a current NZPCA member and unlocks access to key benefits, including:
Attending rallies
Having rally attendance and Record Cards signed
Being eligible for team selection
If a rider is not listed as current on the National Database:
❌ They are not insured – This places both the rider and the club at risk during any activity.
❌ They cannot participate fully – No access to rallies, no rally sign-offs, and ineligible for team selection.
❌ They cannot use Casual Membership as a workaround – A Casual Membership form does not permit ongoing rally attendance, instruction, or team eligibility.
Clubs and Branches are welcome to offer Introduction Rallies to individuals who have never attended Pony Club before. These new riders must complete a Casual Membership Form prior to participation to ensure basic coverage.
The NZPCA membership Levy for the year 2025/26 will be:
