Huge congratulations to the following coaches for completing their Equestrian Coaches Training Programme (ECTP) D/D+ Level Certificate through our FastTrack system, organised by Hakaru Pony Club:

Chantelle Maxwell, Samantha Paterson, Zara Colgan, Jenny Lim, Margot Rawlings, Eddy Qi, Angela Davies, Abby Atkins, Ellen Irish, Shana Johnson, Toni Woods, Zoe Parry, Amanda McGregor and Selena Tear.

This group was the first to use our new online system, which made the theory portion of the programme simple to complete. Coaches still had the option to use the original paper-based system too.

A massive thank you to Hakaru Pony Club for organising the weekend for coaches in the area, and to the local RSA for providing the hall and internet access to ensure everyone was up to speed with the technology. And, of course, thank you to all the demo riders, parents and supporters — your support is invaluable in helping our coaches learn and complete their assessments.

A special thanks to our facilitators and assessors, Marj Steiner and Sue Easther, for guiding this group through the process. The FastTrack version of ECTP D/D+ level makes it simple for coaches to upskill and gain qualifications.

The NZ Pony Club Equestrian Coaches Training Programme (ECTP) covers all levels. Each level consists of three parts:

1. Theory units

2. In-person coaching course

3. Practical assessments

The ECTP helps coaches:

- Increase knowledge and confidence in coaching

- Plan and develop safe, progressive, effective, and enjoyable lessons

- receive substantial 'hands-on' practice and fostering an optimal learning environment for all coaches
