EQUIFEST PONY CLUBS TEAMS EVENT
UPDATE 26/10/22
An email is being sent tonight through Main-Events for each competitor to complete. Also the final rules for the Virtual competition that is running in conjunction, are now available to the right of this notice.
Thanks for the enthusiasm for the NZPCA class at Equifest. We would have loved to have had more time to get info out but as we mentioned the opportunity arose for NZPCA to be involved this prestigious event.
We have received a number of questions over the long weekend and felt maybe others would appreciate these answers:
- If a club has 1 or 2 riders for each division, can they be considered for a combined club team? Yes, we would love to maximise participation. Just enter the class and put Combined as team name and NZPCA will email this week with final team make up.
- Do riders need to have completed rallies? Yes the rally rule applies as per the conditions. See rule 15.4 of the NZPCA general regulations to see how many need to have been attended in the last 12 months. It does depend on certificate held.
- Can a rider ride two ponies in the team or competition? Yes, as long as the rally rules are met and no one else was available to ride for the club.
Entries have been extended till 12noon on Wednesday 26th October.

We are excited to announce we have secured a Pony Club teams event at Equifest, at both the Taupo and Christchurch Events.
Full details of Equifest can be found here - https://www.equifest.co.nz/
We apologise that it is short notice but we feel it is a very cool opportunity for our riders not to be involved in.
Attached is the details of the Club or Club without Branches team event.
Hopefully clubs can sort 3-4 riders to jump 80-85cm (junior competition) and/or 3-4 riders to jump 100-105cm (senior competition).
Riders can also put themselves forward, to be considered for the NZPCA team competing in the Pony Club International Virtual Competition. This will only be available at the Taupo Event.
Entry fee includes entry to Equifest.
Entries are now open for the Taupo Event at https://www.main-events.com/event/7760/equifest-2022-taupo
The Christchurch event will open on the 1st November.
We hope to see a multitude of our NZPCA Club colours on display at this exciting Equestrian Festival.
