New leader for NZPCA, welcome Lizette.
Welcome to our new CE Lizette Turnbull. Following the leadership legacy of a post covid thriving membership that Samantha Jones, the NZPCA team and the committed volunteer has built. The NZPCA Board want to thank the NZPCA Staff and its membership for going above and beyond in the recent months to keep the organisation operating smoothly.
Local and proud mum of five (3 horses and 2 children) Lizette and family reside on her husband’s family farm in Katikati. A regular dressage parent at dressage competitions and a dedicated equestrian enthusiast with a lifelong passion for the New Zealand Pony Club, Lizette has actively participated in various roles, including Member, Instructor, President, District Commissioner, Patron, and Volunteer.
Being actively engaged across a series of equestrian organisations within Tauranga Lizette is well placed to expand on partnerships that benefit the NZPCA membership and wider equestrian eco-system, basing Pony Club as the foundation builder for equestrian sports.
After 25 years of teaching and most recently as the Senior School Deputy Principal at Waihi Beach School Lizette has the knowledge and skills to balance teaching, coaching with management and leadership responsibilities. We look forward to Lizette joining the organisation on 19th June and reigning the next era of NZPCA alongside our valued and committed membership.
“I am excited about the opportunity to meet and collaborate with fellow NZPCA members and volunteers. By working together, we can continue providing young individuals with the best possible opportunities to thrive and achieve success in the equestrian world.” – Lizette Turnbull
