Pony Club & Saddlery Warehouse Competition! 🌟

We're thrilled to announce the winners of the $100 Saddlery Warehouse at Land Rover Horse of the Year Pony Club  & Saddlery Warehouse Competition 2023:

🥇 7 years and under: Darcy Hannill

🥇 8 & 9 years: Floss Armstrong from Pleasant Point Pony Club, South Canterbury Area

🥇 10 to 12 years: Hayley Webb

🥇 13 years and upwards: Madison Mischewski from Thames Pony Club, Franklyn, Thames Valley Area


Congratulations to our talented artists for their exceptional achievements! The judges faced a challenging task due to the high level of creativity displayed in the entries received at LRHOY and submitted online.

We’re excited to invite you to the NZ Pony Clubs Colouring Competition, where you can showcase your creativity and love for horses through colours!

EVERYONE WELCOME - YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A PONY CLUB MEMBER TO ENTER!

Winners in each age group will receive a $100 Gift Vouchers from Saddlery Warehouse.  The winning artwork will be featured on our website, and social media platforms.

How to Enter:


1. Download the Colouring Sheet: See the link above. Make sure to print it out on a standard-sized A4 paper or pick up a copy from us at Land Rover Horse of the Year – located in C08.

2. Get Creative with Colours: Use your favourite colouring tools such as crayons, coloured pencils, markers, or paints to bring the picture to life. Feel free to use any colours you like and let your imagination run wild.

3. Add Your Personal Touch: Feel free to add your own creative elements to the picture. Maybe the horse needs a colourful saddle or a vibrant background – it's all up to you!

4. Submit Your Entry: Please make sure to write your name, age, phone and email on the front of your artwork.

5. Submission: You can submit your completed artwork either by taking a photo or scanning it and emailing it to info@nzpca.org or by dropping it off to us at Land Rover Horse of the Year - site C08.

Make sure to submit your entry before the deadline, Saturday 9th March 5pm.


Competition Rules:


1. Original Colouring: Entries must be your original artwork. Any copied or traced submissions will be disqualified.

2. Age Groups: The four age groups for judging are

  • 7 years and under,
  • 8 to 9 years,
  • 10 to 12 years, and
  • 13 years and above.

3. Neatness and Creativity: Entries will be judged based on neatness, creativity, and innovative use of colours.

4. Deadline: The deadline for submissions is Saturday, 9th March 2024 , at 5pm at Equifest. Late entries will not be considered.

5. Winner Announcement: The winners will be announced on Sunday, 10th March 2024 at 10am, and via our website, Facebook and Instagram. Prizes will be awarded to the top entries in each age group, plus an overall award.
