🌟 Announcing Winners from 2023 Equifest Pony Club Competition!

We're thrilled to announce the winners of the $100 Saddlery Warehouse & $25 Summit Grains & Saddlery vouchers at Equifest Pony Club Competition 2023:

🥇 10 years and under: Milie Simms (10) from Hawea Wanaka

🥇 11-14 years: Sylvia Small (13) from Marshlands

🥇 15 years and upwards: Maggie Murdock (16) from Thames

A big shout-out to Elizabeth Vernon (15) for receiving the highly commended prize of a $25 gift voucher from Summit Grains & Saddlery! 


Congratulations to our talented artists for their exceptional achievements! The judges faced a challenging task due to the high level of creativity displayed in the entries received at Equifest and submitted online.

Welcome, young artists!   

We’re excited to invite you to the NZ Pony Clubs Colouring Competition, where you can showcase your creativity and love for horses through colours!


Winners in each age group will receive a $100 Gift Voucher from Saddlery Warehouse. There's also a special overall award of a $25 Gift Voucher from Summit Grains & Saddlery. The winning artwork will be featured on our website, i-coach newsletter, and social media platforms.

How to Enter:


1. Download the Colouring Sheet: See the links above. Make sure to print it out on a standard-sized A4 paper or pick up a copy from us at Equifest – located A6.

2. Get Creative with Colours: Use your favourite colouring tools such as crayons, coloured pencils, markers, or paints to bring the picture to life. Feel free to use any colours you like and let your imagination run wild.

3. Add Your Personal Touch: Feel free to add your own creative elements to the picture. Maybe the horse needs a colourful saddle or a vibrant background – it's all up to you!

4. Submit Your Entry: Please make sure to write your name, age on the front, and contact information on the back of your artwork.

5. Submission: You can submit your completed artwork either by taking a photo or scanning it and emailing it to training@nzpca.org or by dropping it off to us at Equifest.

Make sure to submit your entry before the deadline, Saturday 14th October 4pm.


Competition Rules:


1. Original Colouring: Entries must be your original artwork. Any copied or traced submissions will be disqualified.

2. Age Groups: The age groups for judging are 1. 10 years and under, 2. 11 to 14 years, and 3. 15 years and above.

3. Neatness and Creativity: Entries will be judged based on neatness, creativity, and innovative use of colours.

4. Deadline: The deadline for submissions is Saturday 14th October 2023 4pm at Equifest. Late entries will not be considered.

5. Winner Announcement: The winners will be announced on Sunday, 15th October 2023 10am, and via our website, Facebook and Instagram. Prizes will be awarded to the top entries in each age group, plus an overall award.
