Coaches Courses

Courses for Coaches can be organized at any level required. Clubs and Branches should organise courses for their Coaches regularly to ensure these valuable people have an opportunity to upskill and update their knowledge and methods of coaching.

The D Level course introduces new coaches to the basics of coaching, hopefully ensuring they continue in the role with confidence. Each ensuing level builds on that confidence, providing practical skills and coaching techniques to make rallies interesting, productive and FUN for all.

Attendance at a Coaches course is a pre-requisite for enrolment in the Equestrian Coaches Training Programme (ECTP), and must be completed before any practical assessments in the ECTP can be completed.

Coaches courses can be conducted by the National Coaches and by C+ Level and above ECTP-qualified Coaches. Most courses are of two days duration - most usually conducted over a weekend, however, each day can be run separately if this better suits the participants.

The information included below sets out the basic course requirements - facilities, equipment etc for D and C Level courses.
