NZPCA Committee of Management

Association Officers

For Administration purposes, the 82 Pony Clubs in New Zealand are grouped into 16 Areas geographically. Each Area has a Delegate to the Committee of Management (COM). The COM is responsible for running the general affairs of the Pony Club. Committees deal with specific activities, but all major decisions are approved by the whole COM.

Every year in June, the Pony Club holds an annual Conference at which a President and up to three Vice-Presidents are elected by the member Clubs.

The Association employs an Executive Officer to administer the day-to-day running of NZPCA business and a Coaching Officer. (For more details, see NZPCA Association Rules 1997 which is available from the Pony Club Shop)

Branches

63 of the 82 clubs have Branches in their district, so that riders do not have to travel too far to attend rallies.

Parents, caregivers and helpers are the backbone of the administration at Branch, Club and Area level. The organisation is totally dependent on volunteer help and many thousands of people have given freely of their time and expertise for the benefit of the children and their ponies.
