The 55 th NZPCA HORSE TRIALS CHAMPIONSHIPS

To be held at the Egmont A & P Show Grounds in Hawera


On behalf of Taranaki Area Pony Clubs and the NZPCA 2010 Horse Trials Teams Championship Organising Committee, we extend a warm welcome to you to attend the 2010 Champs being held on the 8th, 9th and 10th April 2010 in Hawera, Taranaki.  The venue for all three phases of the event will be the Egmont A&P Show grounds with the inclusion of neighboring properties for the cross-country phase. Horses will be accommodated on-site at the Show grounds for the event.

2010 NZPCA Champs will initiate the first trial of a new format, including a competition for riders at 95cm jumping height.  It is envisaged that this will provide the current membership of Pony Club riders with an opportunity to compete at a national level.  Details are yet to be finalised but the 95cm team will consist of two riders from each Area.  Selection criteria for these riders will be presented by COM after their June 2009 meeting.  We extend a very warm welcome to these new riders coming to their first Champs also.

The financial support given by the TSB Community Trust and other sponsors has been invaluable in hosting this event. We thank them and all the many volunteers who are working hard to make this event happen.
