16th, 17th and 18th of April (Thursday/Friday/Saturday)

at the

Puhinui Reserve (Manukau)

On behalf of the Auckland Area and Franklin Thames Valley Area Pony Clubs and the NZPCA 2009 Horse Trials Teams Championship organising Committee, we extend a warm welcome to you to attend the 2009 Champs being held 16th, 17th, 18th April 2009.

The venue for these Champs will be the picturesque and historic grounds at Puhinui Reserve.

The horses will be accommodated on the grounds in yards at Puhinui for the event. There will be overnight security for the duration of your stay. Feed and yard supplies will be available, to be pre ordered and delivered to Puhinui.

There are facilities for each team to have times for practices and to hack horses over part of the property. These will be allocated to you after entries are received.

NZPCA Horse Trials 2009 is extremely lucky to have the support of the Manukau City Council and various businesses from Franklin Thames Valley and Auckland areas.

    Thursday 16th April

    7.30am                    Official Course Walk - Managers and Trainers

    10.30am                  Teams Welcome and Reception in the big Marquee

                                    Hat inspection to be carried out during reception

    12.15pm                  Teams Lunch

    1.15pm                    Teams Course walk with Managers and Trainers only

    3.00pm                    Cross Country open to be walked by Public

    6.30pm                    Cross Country closed

     

    Friday 17th April

    8.00am                   Guinea Pig Riders for Dressage in arenas

    8.30am                   “Equine Trader” Dressage commences.

                                    A1 Test - A1 2009

                                    DC Test – DC 2009

    3.00pm                   Celebrity Course Walk –Hosted by Papatoetoe Pony Club, see below for details!

                                    A fundraiser organised for hosting pony clubs. 

                                    Tickets available from secretary @ $5 per person, for others interested.

    4.30 - 5.30pm         Show jumping opens for walking by Managers, Trainers and Teams only.

    7.45am                    Fence judges briefing

    8.45am                   “Papatoetoe Pony Club” Cross Country-DC followed by A1

    11.00am                  Horse Inspection open. To be done in team order with DC’s followed

                                    By A1’s 

    12.00 noon              Show jumping course open for walking. Closed 12.25  

    12.30pm                  The “Westpac Agribusiness” Show Jumping commences.

                                     If required will be open for walking at the completion of DC’s.

    3.30pm                    Parade and Presentation in the main arena

    7.00pm                    Dinner and Dance at Ellerslie Convention Centre, Ascot Avenue, Remuera.
