Venue:The Marlborough Nelson West Coast Area is very fortunate to have the support of Ian and Sue Parkes the owners of our lovely venue 'Punawai', situated in the well known 88 Valley, Wakefield. 'Punawai' was the successful host site for the 2001 South Island Pony Club teams Springston Trophy. We have access and the scope on the property to develop a completely new track for the 2008 Champhionships. The Committee has commissioned the services of Robbie McLean to design and build this exciting new course. Construction of portables will be completed in August with the balance of the course being completed in early October once lambing has been completed on the property. Punawai is a quick 30km from Central Nelson from Central Nelson and 20km from Richmond. Both areas provide services that will meet the needs of visiting teams.
